NEWBIE GUIDE 004- How to Compute Your Average

The other day someone asked me about her stocks average? She is wondering why her average is far from her Buying price. To make the story short, bumili sya ng 200 shares of Wilcon at P6.53, pero nun nakita nya ang kanyang portfolio ang naging average na daw is P6.643. Paano daw yun nangyari. She said, ” I tried to look for answers in our group, but I can’t find any”.

Minsan ayaw na magtanong kasi nahihiya na sila, thats why I am sharing this. Here is how you get your average. First of all, silipin muna natin mga commissions and charges para may idea kayo, galing ito sa COL.

Tignan mo mabuti, Sales Tax.

Looking at the picture below makikita nyo yun 200 shares multiply by P6.53 is equals to P1,306, but meron total charges na P22.60 which give her a total cost of P1,328.60. Walang nakalagay na amount sa Sales tax because it is Buying Computation.

You can also find other computation regarding stock in your Traders Empire Book page 146-148.

Till next lesson.
