Traveling Solo In EGYPT… – 1st Part

They told me “Why Egypt?” I simply response, “Why not…” And I’m glad that I did at namangha talaga ako sa lugar na iyon. Given a chance, I would love to visit that country again…

Me and The Great Pyramid of Giza Plateau

In this Blog, I would like to share everything I experienced especially if you are alone and you don’t know how to start your itinerary, where to stay and tips about traveling Egypt. Wala akong kinuhang tour, basta pumunta ako dun at nagbook ng hotel online at maps of Egypt in my phone. And the fact is, it is extremely cheap to travel Egypt. That’s why I traveled Alexandria to Aswan, North to south, Top to Bottom. You may say that I’m so damn brave, but the truth is I’m extremely fearful, talagang ginawa ko lang. Because Action Cures Fear.

Alexandria- Cairo- Giza- Luxor- Aswan and Me.

Magumpisa tayo sa “Where to Stay”.

Where to Stay: Marami naman hotel/hostels/loft na pwedeng mabook online, pero ang isshare ko sa inyo dito ay yun ginawa, pinuntahan at naniniwala ako na The Best and Safe. Nagbook ako online sa Pyramids Loft, this loft is located in Giza. Cairo is their city then after Cairo is Giza, kung saan makikita mo ang Mighty and Proud Pyramid of Giza Plateau. Kung gusto nyo magbook online simply visit and message their FB Page Pyramids Loft

Sa ibaba madaming for rent ng kabayo, Camel and Quad Bike. If you like to rent wag kayo magtanong direct sa labas, kila Ahmed muna para sila makipagusap at hindi kayo mahalan. Its only 200 EGP ($11.65) pag ikaw nagtanong sa labas aabutin ng 500 EGP yun haha. Tawad lang ng tawad…

Magbook ka lang online or message their FB, wala ka muna babayaran. I know na kailangan din yan to get Egypt Visa so simply book and print a copy to present for your Visa application. Yun mismong mayari ng lugar naging kakilala ko, his name is Ahmed or Thomas (his english name) at sya mismo ay isang traveler. Simple lang sabi nya, you just need to be here and I will help you in everything (nakss special siopao haha). Nagexplain sya na, yes it’s true that it’s kinda not safe for female, so I will teach you and guide you here. Because I know how it feels not knowing what to do because I myself is a traveler.

Wala yun extra charge pero if magpapasundo kayo abutan nyo yun driver as tip, kahit 20 Egyptian pound ($1.17) lang matutuwa na yan. Bago po kayo lumabas ng airport magpapalit na din kayo sa loob ng Egyptian Pound, in my case nagpapalit muna ako ng $50 at dun na din ako mismo sa airport bumili ng simcard (Orange sim). 10days ako nagstay sa Egypt that why its very important to me na may meron akong internet anywhere.

Thats the value of my $50 in Egyptian pound

The very nice thing about Pyramids Loft is, kaharap nya ang Pyramid of Giza. That’s why every waking day magigising ka at pupunta sa rooftop, dun kakain sa terrace nila and you will simply gaze and marvel to one of the Ancient wonders of the world. Sunrise to sunset the view is stunning.

This is Life…

Gentle reminder: I am not sponsored to ads Pyramids Loft, gusto ko sila ipromote because I want to pass their kindness and goodness to everyone. This is my simple way of thanking them. Pagdating ko dun umakyat kami agad sa taas to have a rooftop view, they even tour me around the market. There is one guy whos name is also Ahmed (without english name) at sinamahan nya ako maglakad ng gabi at itinuro kung paano umikot ikot sa Giza. Bumili pa kami ng bamboo juice dahil yun daw ang specialty nila dun., in short experience local. Not only local foods but most important is the people. Ito yun natutuhan ko na tinuro sa akin, “You need to blend with the people.”

Nilibre nya ako ng juice haha, If you know Jordan of Travel light (Travel Vlogger) nagstay din sya sa Pyramids Loft at isa sa video nya ay kasama nya si Ahmed.
On my way to Pyramid Loft

This is exciting at habang nagttype ako dito, nammiss ko yun lugar. Thank God for the gift of travels. Till next Blog, DREAM BIG beautiful people …
